Gliding

2008 was a very poor year for gliding with no slope soaring, no Thermal Soaring and only a couple of Electric gliding flights throughout the whole year. Let's see if we can make a determined effort in 2009 to rectify the situation.

Relaxing, graceful and fun are a few words to describe R/C Gliding be it electrically assisted, winched, bungeed, towed or just thrown off a slope. Once a prolific activity within the club it has waned of the last 2 or three years. Look out this year for a resurgence with a few Electric Thermal soarers now in the club and some slope soaring at a couple of our favourite sites. Interested in giving this a go? Just ask, it can be done very cheaply indeed, getting a slope soarer in the air can be as little as £75 or so.
