Gliding in 2008

Relaxing, graceful and fun are a few words to describe R/C Gliding be it electrically assisted, winched, bungeed, towed or just thrown off a slope. Once a prolific activity within the club it has waned of the last 2 or three years. Look out this year for a resurgence with a few Electric Thermal soarers now in the club and some slope soaring at a couple of our favourite sites. Interested in giving this a go? Just ask, it can be done very cheaply indeed, getting a slope soarer in the air can be as little as £75 or so.

Up to September 2007

Slightly cheating but there has bee a bit of Gliding albeit Electrically power assisted.

My Cularis awaiting a battery before its maiden flight.

A brace of Cularis' before flight.

Kenny's Cularis with a Smole system, very impressive!

Smoke running out.

And it's gone.

Scott with his Coyote after some teething troubles he finally had a decent flight with a little help from Barney.

Gliding 2007

Nothing happening, we haven't even had a day at the Cat's Back as the wind has never been favourable. What is happening to our weather?
